Responsibilities
  • Analyse and validate input service/mission/security requirements.
  • Define and allocate lower-level functional, performance, and non-functional requirements.
  • Requirement maintenance including higher level requirements evolutions and follow up of RFDs/RFWs generated during the infrastructure development and qualification.
  • Maintain requirement traceability and compliance status across design and implementation phases.
  • Changes initiated by the needs of improving Service/System/Security availability/continuity following lesson learnt from REX (RAMS analyses, major anomalies, system robustness analyses and resilience tests)
  • Address changes due to new requirements, system improvements, or obsolescence issues.
  • Evolutions required to address specific obsolescence issues, enhance system operability for service provision, and improve infrastructure security, such as increased robustness to penetration tests
  • Ensure all outputs are reviewed and approved before procurement.

Tools & Deliverables:

  • Use DOORS to manage requirement baselines and traceability.
  • Provide justification files, traceability matrices, and verification method (i.e. under procurement, confirmed by design at PDRs/CDRs, produce traceability and SoC controlled)
  • Deliver delta analyses and formal document updates for system evolutions.
Qualifications

The Key Person shall have the following experience and background:

  • Educational background in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with a strong focus on system or requirements engineering.
  • Proven experience in system requirements engineering for complex systems, preferably within space programs such as Galileo, EGNOS, or GOVSATCOM.
  • Proficiency in managing both classified (CLA) and unclassified (UNCLA) requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with requirements management tools, particularly DOORS.
  • Expertise in the full lifecycle of requirements management, including analysis, definition, allocation, and traceability.
  • Ability to define functional, performance, and non-functional requirements and manage their evolution.
  • Experience in handling changes related to system/service/security needs, obsolescence issues, or operability improvements.
  • Understanding of verification methods and milestones, including PDRs and CDRs.
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory, with additional language skills aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) to be indicated in the CV.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to review and synthesize high-level requirements, resolve ambiguities, and conduct impact analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with stakeholders, prepare concise documentation, and contribute to design and evaluation processes.
  • Knowledge of security aspects related to system requirements and infrastructure improvements.
  • Flexibility to handle delta functional and architecture analyses for evolving systems.
  • Familiarity with EU Space Programme components and regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
