To prepare and support commissioning activities for MTG-S1, including timeline preparation, documentation updates, operational validation campaign, and execution support, the coordination between the system and the other teams, the maintenance the analysis , we are looking for a full time MTG System and Verification Engineer to join our team and be part of the Service for our customer.
The areas of work cover:
- Commissioning preparation and support to execution
- System Engineering Coordination
- Management and coordination of the off-line tools and function
The successful candidate will be based at EUMETSAT headquarters in Darmstadt, Germany, providing service in the field of system engineering.
The Candidate shall contribute to activities related to (either or:
- Contribution to MTG-S1 Commissioning Timeline preparation
- Contribution to MTG-S1 System Operational Validation preparation and
execution - Contribution to MTG-S1 Commissioning activity preparation and execution
- Contribution to the update of System Commissioning Plan
- Contribution to the update of In-Orbit Implementation Plan
- Preparation of Commissioning Timelines
- Contribution to the preparation of Commissioning Support Plan
- Contribution to the preparation commissioning Operations reports
- Management, coordination and acceptance of Off-Line tools
- Contribution to the coordination between System, GS and other teams for
System Engineering tasks - M&C Chain Test definition, planning and execution
- Verification Control Document and associated verification reports
- Periodic reports on the status of the verification
The Key Person shall have the following experience and background:
- University degree in a relevant discipline (Aerospace, Aeronautics, Telecommunications engineering, Software, System or Computer Sciences, etc.).
- At least 4 years’ experience in Systems Engineering and IV&V related activities
- At least 4 years’ proven experience in the integration, verification and validation (IV&V) of data processing systems and/or processors, including generation of test plan, test specification, procedures and test reports for end-to-end processing chains
- Experience in management and coordination of the off-line tools and functions
- Knowledge of technical and software knowledge of scientific algorithms and products, test tools and prototypes
- Familiarity with procurement, installation and use of the system test tools used for operational validation and commissioning
- Familiarity with System Operational Validation preparation and support to execution
- Familiarity with Commissioning preparation and support to execution
- Experience in coordination between System, GS and other teams for analysis and resolution of issues and for maintenance of the system baseline, including contributing to related reviews and meetings, production of recommendations to MTG level boards
- Experience with organization and conduct of TRR / TRB
- Support to Anomaly Review Board (ARB)
- Familiarity with system verification strategy
- Familiarity with Verification Control Boards meetings
- Familiarity with reporting on the whole Verification Control Status
- Experience in DOORS and generation of the initial and final VCD
- Ability to write accurate and consistent technical documentation
- High degree of working autonomy
- Problem solving
- Good analytical skills
- High degree of interpersonal awareness
- Experience in working as part of a multicultural team
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
The following experience would be additional assets:
- Demonstrated experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java and IDL)
